Hastings Welcomes Public to Winter Festival

And, yes, there will be a cake walk.

The 5th Annual Winter Festival at , 111 East Main St., takes place on Saturday, Feb. 11 from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m.

The event, sponsored by the Hastings Parent Group, features games, crafts, food, live music, a silent auction, basket raffle and more.

Activities for children include face painting, a free throw contest, a bounce house, sand art and the famous “cake walk.” There will also be a magic show by Munsey’s Magic.

The basket raffle and silent auction items a Kindle Fire, a Bose SoundDock II, the 2012 American Girl Doll of the Year, a Keurig coffee maker and a kids’ bicycle. In addition, restaurant and salon gift certificates, museum passes, ski lift tickets, health and fitness club passes and Red Sox tickets will be available. There is also a chance to bid on four one-day passes to Walt Disney World in Orlando.

Pizza, salad, baked goods and refreshments will be available, and the Morgan Scott Trio will be performing live jazz throughout the evening.

Money raised at this event will go toward the school’s enrichment programs. These include field trips, guest speakers and additional tools for students and staff. 

The event is open to the public. Admission is $5 per person. There is a $20 maximum entrance fee per family. Tickets will be sold at the door.
