Looking for Flowers? Follow the Heart

Anyone needing a reminder that today is Valentine’s Day should drive on Route  30 in Westborough.

At 50 East Main St., a large paper heart with a green arrow underneath points motorists to the Plant Bazaar Florist.

“We’ve had a lot of good walk-ins today,” employee Sarah Page said while preparing an arrangement.

“Usually a handful of last-minute guys at 6 p.m. come in. But, it’s been fairly steady all day.”

Owner Melissa Horne said that “we’ve been busy all week.”

“Today’s our big day,” she said.

“We’ll be here until the men stop walking in,” Horne added.

Page said the florist has been busier than during Valentine’s Day 2012.

“We’re almost out of roses. And then we do a lot of custom, mixed bouquets as well,” she said.

“We didn’t have a line at the door, but we had a line of deliveries to go out at the beginning.”
