Selectmen have appointed Justin Lundberg to a three-year term on the zoning board of appeals.
Lundberg has "done a great job" over his six months as an alternate member, zoning board Chairman David Lamothe said.
"I've been very impressed with the work that you do," Selectman Leigh Emery told Lundberg.
"You are so well informed, and such a great thinker."
Jim Johnson had opted against seeking reappointment for another three-year term, ending 33 years on the zoning board.
