Elsie Kaye Gift Shop &amp; Artisan Studio In 2009, on a whim, Holly Kenny took a flameworking class and learned to make glass beads. This sparked a love of glass art and led to the launch her business, Elsie Kaye Gift Shop and Art Studio in downtown Westborough. Holly currently teaches flameworking and metalworking at her studio and is on the faculty at the New England Craft Program in Williamsburg, MA. Holly loves the fluidity and movement of glass and enjoys incorporating metals, enamels and other elements that can change the texture and appearance of the glass. As a result, much of her work takes on an abstract, organic feel. Her work, under the name Elsie Kaye Glassworks, can be found at more than 50 boutiques and galleries across the country. Holly is passionate about promoting emerging local artists by selling their work at her retail shop, as well as helping to foster connections with new and existing businesses in the local area. She is an active member of her community, where she has lived with her husband and two children since 2006.

According to a Connect-Ed message delivered shortly after 6:30 p.m., pesticides will be applied to school fields this weekend. It is suggested that residents stay off the fields until the application process is complete. The statement says that pestices Eliminate D (broadleaf herbicide) and Dimension (pesticide) will be applied to the athletic fields at , , , , and . The application will start on Saturday, April 16, and end on Monday, April 18. In her phone message to parents, Mill Pond School principal Reene Hatherley said, "It is probably best to stay off the field at Mill Pond until after the application process is complete." The Westborough Public Schools are currently closed for spring recess. Classes will resume on Monday, April 25.
