Pesticides To Be Applied to School Fields This Weekend

It is suggested that residents stay off the fields until the application process is complete.

According to a Connect-Ed message delivered shortly after 6:30 p.m., pesticides will be applied to school fields this weekend. It is suggested that residents stay off the fields until the application process is complete.

The statement says that pestices Eliminate D (broadleaf herbicide) and Dimension (pesticide) will be applied to the athletic fields at , , , , and .

The application will start on Saturday, April 16, and end on Monday, April 18.

In her phone message to parents, Mill Pond School principal Reene Hatherley said, “It is probably best to stay off the field at Mill Pond until after the application process is complete.”

The Westborough Public Schools are currently closed for spring recess. Classes will resume on Monday, April 25.
