Police Warn of 'IRS' Scam: 'They Threaten Arrest'
Police are warning residents of an IRS scam that is hitting many across the country, including Westborough.

WESTBOROUGH, MA -- Numerous residents have reported that they received a call from the ”IRS” this week.
The caller threatens arrest if directions aren’t followed for paying taxes immediately through Western Union or similar money sources.
Westborough police remind residents: “This is a scam.”

“The IRS will not contact you by phone,” said police. “Please do not fall for this scam. Just hang up the phone and ignore the calls.”
