On Friday, March 9, second grade students at were treated to a St. Patrick’s Day serenade. Westborough musician Greg Bacon and fellow musician Liz Alexander performed a variety of traditional songs and tunes ranging from early Americana to Celtic favorites.
Boys and girls were captivated as Bacon played pennywhistle and guitar. Alexander shared fiddle favorites. Second grade students start string instruments in the fall of third grade, so this performance was a chance to see some strings in action while also learning about Irish music.
