St. Stephen’s Welcomes New Priest

Fr. Jesse joined the church on Sept. 1.

On Sunday, Sept. 18, the parishioners of of 3 John St. welcomed a new priest, the Rev. Jesse Abell and his wife, Allison, with a reception following the service.

Fr. Jesse was asked to be the permanent priest following a yearlong search conducted by congregants at St. Stephen’s following the retirement of the previous church priest.

Prior to arriving in Westborough, Fr. Jesse served as staff chaplain at a local hospital in Omaha and was an associate priest in a church near Indianapolis.

He and Allison moved to Westborough with their two dogs. Fr. Jesse started as the priest of St. Stephen’s on Sept. 1.
