Students Appointed to Youth Board

The Westborough Youth Commission has its first student voting members.

Selectmen voted Tuesday night to appoint Westborough High School seniors Casey Collins and Pranit Lahoty to one-year terms, and juniors Jack Chuma and Matt Murch to two-year terms.

Voters at the March 16 annual town meeting expanded the five-member commission to include four students as voting members, all appointed to two-year terms. Students previously only offered input during commission meetings.

The youth commission requested the change.
