Town Announces Job Openings

A wave of job openings have been posted in Westborough, most in the , 45 West Main St. Here are some of the current openings:

K-6 Math/Science Coordinator (.5 FTE) district-wide, 2012-13 school year

Anyone with interest is asked to submit a letter of interest, resume, copy of certification and letters of reference by April 30 to Assistant Superintendent Daniel Mayer.

Extended Day Program Site Coordinator (.5 Benefited Position), 2012-13 school year

Applicants are required to either possess a bachelor’s degree in a related field and have three to six months experience working with school-age children or possess an associate’s degree, have nine months experience working with school-age children and be in a related field. Anyone with interest is asked to submit a letter of interest, resume and letters of reference by April 30 to Maryellen Feeney, Director of Community Education.

Summer School Nurse

This position pays $40 per hour and will run July 9 through August 9, Mondays through Thursdays, 8 a.m. to noon. In addition, there is a set up day Friday, July 6 from 8 a.m. to noon. Library Assistant,

This position works in both the main floor circulation department and the children’s room, performing clerical tasks and providing information services to the public. This is a nonunion position, 12 hours per week with a starting salary of $15.96 per hour. The library assistant has extensive contact with the public, both in person and on the telephone, and is expected to maintain confidentiality at all times. Some common tasks include registering borrowers for library cards, check-in and checkout of library materials, helping patrons locate items, assisting with library programs and helping train volunteers. Library assistants occasionally work shifts at the reference desk. The position requires two evenings per week and every Saturday. Experience working with children is required, since Saturday shifts will be in the children’s room. Scheduling flexibility is highly desirable. The position is available immediately and is not a seasonal job. Applicants should possess a bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university (strongly preferred); or a high school diploma/G.E.D. and at least four years of circulation experience in a public library; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
