School Committee Contest Emerges
Three people now have taken out nomination papers. Two three-year terms are on the March 5 ballot.

A third candidate for school committee took out nomination papers today, exactly one week before the deadline.
Westminster Way resident Danielle Carrigo joins incumbent school committee members Stephen Doret and Bruce Tretter. Two three-year terms are on the March 5 annual town ballot.
The deadline for taking out papers is 5 p.m. next Friday, Jan. 11.

Selectman also has drawn three candidates for two three-year seats: incumbents Timothy Dodd and Leigh Emery, and Ruggles Street resident Stephen Faris.
The deadline for filing papers signed by 50 registered voters with Town Clerk Nancy Yendriga for certification is 5 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15.

Ten offices are on the ballot: three three-year terms on the trustees of the Westborough Public Library; two two-year terms each on the board of selectmen and the school committee; a five-year term on the planning board; a five-year term on the Westborough Housing Authority; and a three-year term on the Westborough Housing Authority.
Besides the school committee and selectman candidates, the following have taken out nomination papers: Library Trustee Helena Engberg; Westborough Planning Board member Joanne Mallozzi; Westborough Housing Authority member Charles Naples (three years); and Whitney Street resident Jill Dupree, Westborough Housing Authority (three years).
Two incumbents have indicated they will not seek re-election, according to the town clerk's office: Julie Pappazsis, Westborough Housing Authority (five years) and Karen Griegal, library trustee.
