Westborough Civic Leadership Academy Applications Open For Fall

WESTBOROUGH, MA — Westborough residents interested in getting a closer look at local government can apply for the town’s Fall 2026 Civic Leadership Academy.

The nine-week program will run from Sept. 15 through Nov. 10 and will give residents an in-depth look at town government, town departments, local leaders and ways to serve on boards and committees, according to the town.

Classes will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday evenings at various locations in Westborough, with one class scheduled for Monday, Oct. 26. Participants will be recognized during a graduation ceremony at the Nov. 17 Select Board meeting.

Applications are due to the Town Manager’s Office by noon on Sept. 4, according to the town. They may be submitted in person at 34 West Main St. or emailed to achivallatti@westboroughma.gov with the subject line “Civic Leadership Academy Application.”

Preference will be given to applicants who have not served on a town board or committee, according to the town. All applicants will be notified of their admission status after applications are reviewed.
