Westborough Police Arrest Framingham Man Over 'Ghost Gun'

Police stopped the Framingham man over the weekend along Route 9 after he was seen speeding.

WESTBOROUGH, MA — Westborough police arrested a Framingham man over the weekend after they found him with a "ghost gun," according to the department.

Westborough police pulled the man over around 3 a.m. Saturday along Route 9 near the Route 30 interchange after seeing him speeding.

After the stop, police searched the man's car and found a loaded gun, which officers identified as a "ghost gun" — a firearm made with a kit that can be bought online. Ghost guns do not have serial numbers, are untraceable and are often used by people who can't pass background checks.

The Framingham man was arrested on multiple charges, including carrying a loaded gun without a license, carrying a gun without a license, illegal possession of ammunition, possession of a large-capacity gun, improper storage of a gun, possession of a gun in a vehicle and possession of a covert gun.
