WESTBOROUGH, MA — Westborough police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect after a recent series of car break-ins in town.

The department said surveillance video shows a suspect checking vehicle doors, moving on when doors are locked and entering an unlocked vehicle to remove items from inside. Police did not immediately say when or where the break-ins happened.

Westborough police shared the videos in a social media post Tuesday. The videos are a reminder for residents to lock vehicle doors and remove valuables, even when parking in driveways or familiar areas, according to police. Many vehicle break-ins are crimes of opportunity, officials say.
