Westborough Seeks Assistant Town Accountant

A new Westborough assistant town accountant is expected to be chosen in mid-to-late October, Assistant Town Manager/Human Resources Director Kristi Williams says.

Westborough began advertising the assistant accountant post on the town website last Wednesday. Resumes are due in Williams' office by the close of business Sept. 28.

The job description includes "maintaining the general and subsidiary revenue and expenditure records, processing weekly accounts payable warrants, preparing checks, tracking employee accruals, and preparing weekly and monthly reports for all departments." The assistant accountant also will serve as town accountant in that person's absence.

Westborough is advertising the post with a salary range of $41,884 to $56,089, depending on qualifications.
