Elsie Kaye Gift Shop &amp; Artisan Studio In 2009, on a whim, Holly Kenny took a flameworking class and learned to make glass beads. This sparked a love of glass art and led to the launch her business, Elsie Kaye Gift Shop and Art Studio in downtown Westborough. Holly currently teaches flameworking and metalworking at her studio and is on the faculty at the New England Craft Program in Williamsburg, MA. Holly loves the fluidity and movement of glass and enjoys incorporating metals, enamels and other elements that can change the texture and appearance of the glass. As a result, much of her work takes on an abstract, organic feel. Her work, under the name Elsie Kaye Glassworks, can be found at more than 50 boutiques and galleries across the country. Holly is passionate about promoting emerging local artists by selling their work at her retail shop, as well as helping to foster connections with new and existing businesses in the local area. She is an active member of her community, where she has lived with her husband and two children since 2006.

The first Westborough High School varsity football home game under the lights in two years left fans beaming. The Rangers ended Westborough High's Week of Lights with a 21-20 win over visiting Wachusett Regional on Friday night. The Week of Lights featured Westborough High's teams playing under portable lights funded through donations. The event is alternating years with the school's Hall of Fame inductions due to the lights' cost. Fans were asked to bring non-perishable food donations to the Westborough Food Pantry. Cash donations were accepted as well. The school will use the cash donations to support an organization in the community. The Mountaineers scored first, in a flash: seconds into the game, for a 7-0 lead. Wachusett led 14-7 at halftime. The Rangers tied the score at 14-14 with 7:12 left in the third quarter. Westborough then took the lead with 3:46 left in that quarter. The Mountaineers cut the lead to 1 with a touchdown run with 1:22 left in the game, 21-20. However, the Rangers stopped Wachusett's two-point conversion attempt.
