Elsie Kaye Gift Shop &amp; Artisan Studio In 2009, on a whim, Holly Kenny took a flameworking class and learned to make glass beads. This sparked a love of glass art and led to the launch her business, Elsie Kaye Gift Shop and Art Studio in downtown Westborough. Holly currently teaches flameworking and metalworking at her studio and is on the faculty at the New England Craft Program in Williamsburg, MA. Holly loves the fluidity and movement of glass and enjoys incorporating metals, enamels and other elements that can change the texture and appearance of the glass. As a result, much of her work takes on an abstract, organic feel. Her work, under the name Elsie Kaye Glassworks, can be found at more than 50 boutiques and galleries across the country. Holly is passionate about promoting emerging local artists by selling their work at her retail shop, as well as helping to foster connections with new and existing businesses in the local area. She is an active member of her community, where she has lived with her husband and two children since 2006.

students can visit the Tortuguero and Arenal Region of Costa Rica from April 14 to April 22 (vacation week) to attend a Global Student Leader Summit, where they will explore Costa Rica's diverse ecosystems while observing environmental sustainability initiatives. They will view animals in their natural habitats and learn about sea turtle conservation. Students will also learn about food growing practices at a banana plantation and see biodiversity while whitewater rafting. At the end of the tour, students will gather together with other high school students from North America at a two-day Environmental Sustainability Leadership conference featuring speaker Al Gore and other world environmental leaders, presenting the most pressing global environmental issues. Students will also participate in workshops that explore concepts of renewable energy, biodiversity, community leadership and sustainable economic development. There will be a meeting for all interested students on Wednesday, Sept. 19 in the WHS library, and a parent session on Thursday, Sept. 27 at 6:30 p.m. in the WHS library.
