Tree Crashes into Westford Home

A tree crashed into a home on Groton Road Wednesday afternoon. There were no immediate reports of injuries.

Strong winds on Wednesday downed limbs and caused scattered power outages across the region. A wind advisory was in effect for Westford through Wednesday night, according to the National Weather Service:

• A WIND ADVISORY IS NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM EDT THIS EVENING...
• LOCATION...MUCH OF SOUTHERN NEW ENGLAND.
• WINDS...NORTHWEST 15 TO 25 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 45 MPH.
• TIMING...THROUGH THIS AFTERNOON.
• IMPACTS...NORTHWEST WIND GUSTS WILL BRING DOWN SOME LARGE TREE LIMBS AND PERHAPS EVEN A FEW TREES...POSSIBLY CAUSING ISOLATED POWER OUTAGES.
