Weston Arbor Day Tree Planting

Friday, April 27 is Arbor Day in Weston, and a tree-planting ceremony will take place at 11 a.m.

Native beech and redbud tree plantings will be celebrated by the Tree Advisory Group at Soldiers Field (at the intersection of Boston Post and Concord roads). Selectman Michael H. Harrity will read the Arbor Day Proclamation, according to the town's website.

The trees were gifts of NStar, and nine other trees will be planted at and at the reservoir on Ash Street.
