On Friday May 16, Scott McLellan, Executive Director of the Waltham Boys & Girls Club, and Laura Lamere, Weston resident and founder of non-profit Pavoh, Inc. announced a partnership called “Celebrate Music!” creating new programs for Waltham youth this summer.
Specifically, through the partnership, Pavoh, Inc. (http://www.pavoh.org) will provide band development workshops and programs as well as teen concerts, bringing in music experts, teen bands and mentors throughout the summer months.
“Young people benefit from making the music they love and learning to perform,” said Lamere. “We work to inspire, develop and celebrate young musicians, meeting them wherever they are on their skill development path. We’re excited to celebrate youth music in Waltham this summer!”

“We launched our music clubhouse last year and currently provide music and voice lessons, as well as recording and beat-making,” said McLellan. “Our goal is to increase those offerings to reach even more Waltham youth especially those looking to create or launch a band. Pavoh’s experience with bands and performance will add an exciting dynamic.”
