Weston Schools No. 3 In Greater Boston: Rankings

WESTON, MA — Weston students return to school next week — and they can take comfort in knowing their school district is one of the best in the state. Boston Magazine ranked Weston No. 3 on its list of Greater Boston public school districts. The rankings, released Sunday, was based on test scores, student-teacher ratios, class sizes, and graduation rates, among other factors.

Boston Magazine reported these statistics for Weston schools:

• Enrollment: 2,154
• Average class size: 15.5
• Student-teacher ratio: 11 to 4
• Graduation rate: 93.9 percent
• Per-pupil spending: $22,768

Boston Magazine: Best Public School Districts in Boston 2017

The Dover-Sherborn school district was ranked No. 1. This is the top 10:

1. Dover-Sherborn
2. Concord-Carlisle
3. Weston
4. Lexington
5. Wayland
6. Westford
7. Newton
8. Wellesley
9. Manchester Essex
10. Harvard

Weston students grades 1-12 return Sept. 5. Kindergarten students return Sept. 11.
