Weston Superintendent to Step Down at the End of the School Year
Superintendent Robert Tremblay and the Weston School Committee announced the move in a joint statement Wednesday.

WESTON, MA – Weston Superintendent of Schools Robert Tremblay will step down at the end of 2016-17 school year.
The move was announced Wednesday in a joint statement by Tremblay and the Weston School Committee. This was Tremblay's first year at the helm of WPS after a nine-year stint in Milford.
"Weston is a tremendously successful district and I have enjoyed becoming a part of the community here," Tremblay said in a statement. "At the same time, I have come to realize that my passion in public education is focused on districts in need of foundational change. I look forward to the next adventure in my now 20-year career in education and to the many important initiatives ahead as I finish the school year in Weston."

The Weston School Committee said it will announce additional information regarding transition plans in the coming weeks.
"Just because we bring together a good district and a good administrator doesn’t mean that the match will always be the best for either party," Danielle Black, chair of the School Committee, said in a statement. "The Weston School Committee thanks Bob for his service and his dedication through the end of this school year. We are working to plan for a successful transition to new leadership while continuing each day to improve the Weston Schools."
