Boston Wants You to 'Adopt-a-Hydrant'
Are you ready to become a parent to a little hydrant on your street?

The City of Boston unveiled a new "Adopt-a-Hydrant" program to keep fire hydrants clear of snow.
Individual residents can go online to the City's Adopt-a-Hydrant site, pick an un-adopted hydrant to take responsibility for clearing the snow off of, and even name that hydrant.

This program was created to help the Boston Fire Department, which is still responsible for the city's hydrants.
West Roxbury residents and workers, are you ready for this responsibility? And what would you name your hydrant-child? So far there are plenty of West Roxbury hydrants up for grabs -- this could be your chance to build a hydrant-family.
