MBCR/MBTA Gold Star Memorial Train Rolls Through West Roxbury

The memorial train has more than 150 gold stars on it that each hold the name of every Massachusetts serviceman and woman who lost their lives in the Iraq or Afghanistan wars.

 

A special train rolled through the Parkway area on Thursday, as the Massachusetts Bay Commuter Rail Gold Star Memorial Train stopped in West Roxbury and Roslindale.

The MBCR/MBTA train is ‘wrapped’ in red, white, and blue colors, with more than then 150 gold stars that each hold the name of every Massachusetts serviceman and woman who lost their lives in the Iraq or Afghanistan wars. The train was unveiled before Memorial Day and is traveling across the commuter rail system for two months.

On Thursday, the train was at West Roxbury station at 5:06 and 5:53, Highland at 5:03, Bellevue at 5:00 and Roslindale at 4:57.
