O'Malley's West Roxbury Town Hall on Thursday Night

West Roxbury's District Councilor Matt O'Malley will hold his on Thursday night. O'Malley said he'll give a brief presentation and then open the floor up to a Q&A session.
. Said O'Malley, "It’s a great opportunity to report back on what I’ve been working on and seek input and guidance on a number of issues. The public is invited to take part."

The meeting will be held at the from 6:30-8 p.m on Thursday, April 12.
O'Malley held his second town hall meeting in Jamaica Plain on April 2. Said O'Malley, "Many issues are identical: education, public safety, and wanting ways to bring new commerce to the district. Certainly a lot of things I’ve been working on affect the whole city and district. I think it’s important to have individual neighborhood meetings because there are neighborhood issues that are specific."

"I see a great desire, as we gear up for this year’s budget, to get funding for an 0- to 4-years-old tot lot in West Roxbury. We have to see what works. There are a lot of playgrounds already."
O'Malley said there are no playground tot lots specifically for only children 4-year-old and younger. He said it is possible one could be placed at a current playground, and that he'd leave siting up to the Department of Public Works and Parks and Recreation departments.
Other topics will include the in the area. O'Malley said he'd like to have another this year. "We have another meeting coming up, and need to reenergize new and old volunteers."
Public safety issues such as speeding, traffic calming and pedestrian safety measures, will also be discussed.
