The summit is FREE and open to the public, and will mark the Grand Opening of the new Whittier Wellness and Fitness Club. The event will feature free health screenings, live entertainment, and a formal program that includes an awards ceremony honoring local health champions.

An integral part of the summit is providing a general understanding of men’s health and educating men on the importance of getting screened for diseases that they may be at risk for. The goal of the summit is to both raise awareness and educate men of color about how to take charge of their own health so they can build a stronger family and community. More than 200 people are expected to attend the summit. For more information about the Men’s Health Summit, call 617-989-3028 or visit: www.wshc.org, @Whittier_Boston.
