This week, we're looking for international flavors—without the hassle of a long plane ride. For some great ethnic cuisine, be sure to check out these restaurants in and around Westwood:

Located at the Northernmost end of Lambert's Plaza on Providence Highway, Westwood Jade features a small set of dine-in tables, and offers delivery. The restaurant features Cantonese and Szechuan cuisines as well as an array of noodles, soups, and meat and seafood dishes available. the sauteed asparagus.

For a more formal experience, check out this Chinese food restaurant on High Street, which features tablecloths, linen napkins and beautiful Asian artwork. One of the few places in Westwood where alcohol is served, Blue Orchid also has seasonal specials such as mango chicken, mango shrimp and chow foon.

A traditional Cantonese/Chinese restaurant on Washington Street in downtown Norwood, this eatery has a small dining area as well as take-out and delivery. Try everything from beef and pork to chicken dishes, including sweet and sour chicken, sesame beef and moo shu.

The Rice Barn in Needham serves a full menu of contemporary Asian and Thai dishes. There is no MSG or trans-fat in any of the restaurant's dishes and gluten-free entrees are also available. 

Yama, a lovely, second-floor Japanese restaurant in Wellesley offers a glimpse into Japan. Inside, sushi chefs prepare dishes at the bar. Diners are invited to bring their own alcohol.
