Social Distancing and Outdoor Activities

The Westwood Board of Heath would like to remind residents of the importance of social distancing while outdoors. We realize many families are home together and nice weather is here.

Going outdoors is a good way to keep busy and reduce stress, however, we need everyone to refrain from close contact activities at this time.

Please consider individual activities like biking or hiking where sports equipment isn't shared and it's easier to maintain six feet of separation.

Parents should refrain from allowing children to use playground equipment or play sports that involve close contact and shared equipment like basketballs. The COVID-19 virus can exist on surfaces for several days and we all need to do our part to practice social distancing as much as possible.
