Westwood Police Log: Mailbox Vandals Hit Martha Jones Rd., Whitney Ave
Ten mailboxes knocked down within the same three hours late Monday night.
Nearly a dozen mailboxes have been knocked off their posts recently, according to Westwood Police reports.
The first report came from Martha Jones Road at around 10:04 p.m. on Monday, August 16, when a group of youths walking by foot in the area knocked mailboxes off the posts of two homes on the street.
Meanwhile, eight mailboxes were knocked to the ground at homes on Whitney Avenue.

The report was filed by Westwood Police around 12:35 a.m. on Tuesday, August 17.
It was then that police traveling in the area noticed the vandalized mailboxes, the posts of which appeared to have also been knocked down, unlike the Martha Jones Road incident, where only the mailboxes had been knocked down, according to reports.

It was not clear whether the incidents were related, Westwood Police said.
