Drivers from south of Boston were summonsed for driving with open alcohol containers.
Westwood Police cited a motorist and two passengers from the Quincy area in the early morning hours of August 8 for possession of alcohol and drugs, according to reports.
Police stopped a Ford Taurus early Sunday morning on High Street near Westland Avenue for speeding. While speaking with motorists, police noticed several open beers lying on the floor by the feet of the car's passengers.
As a result, police issued a criminal summons for three people. The first was a 21-year-old male from Quincy for procuring alcohol for someone under 21 years of age, as well as for possession of a Class B substance – a single pill of Metadate, for which the male did not have a prescription.
