Westwood Police Log: Neighbors Argue Over Parking, Company Credit Card Stolen

Police responded to an ongoing parking-related dispute between neighbors on Washington Street, while a local company's credit card was stolen and used to buy gas and liquor.

August 7, 10:22 p.m. – An ongoing argument at a Washington Street residence prompted Westwood Police to respond to try to resolve the issue.

Two of the residents of an apartment building on Washington Street, which houses a number of apartments, have been arguing continuously over parking issues, specifically where each tenant is allowed to park, according to police reports.

One of the tenants had called police on the previous evening of August 6 to report that someone had parked in their spot at the residence. What's more, the resident's car had been egged and mail from the mailbox had been taken out and thrown on the ground, according to reports. The matter is under investigation.

August 9, 11:41 a.m. – A company credit card belonging to Health Policy Associates on 690 Canton Street was recently stolen and used at multiple outlets in Randolph, according to Westwood Police.

The card had been used at a gas station and liquor store in Randolph, with charges accumulating to about $600. Reports indicate that the card had been taken out of the desk of an employee in the building.

While nothing else in the building was reported missing, one of the company's employees did say she thought someone had rummaged through her desk. Police are currently investigating the matter.
