Westwood Police Log: Underage Drinkers Cited on Hartford, Whitewood St.
Police cited a number of underage drinkers at two separate incidents over the weekend.
July 31, 12:44 a.m. – Westwood Police responded to a Hartford Street residence early Saturday morning after receiving reports of a loud party in the area. Upon arrival, police summonsed 10 people for being minors in possession of alcohol, ranging in age from 16 to 20 years.
Seven of those summonsed are Westwood residents, ages 17 and 18, while others included two females, ages 16 and 17, from Newton, as well as a 20-year-old from Sherborn. No arrests were made, but parents of those summonsed were notified and arrived at the scene.
August 1, 8:09 p.m. – While on patrol through Whitewood Road on Sunday, Westwood Police noticed a young male drinking a beer at a table outside of a residence on the street. Police approached the male, who appeared to be underage, and who then fled behind the house.

Police then summonsed two males, a 17-year-old Westwood resident and a 20-year-old from Sherborn, for being minors in possession of alcohol. A third male, a resident of the Whitewood Road home, was also summonsed for providing alcohol to minors.
