NOTE: Per changes to Open Meeting Law, effective July 1, 2010, notice of any meeting of public body shall include “A listing of topics that the chair Pursuant to Governor Baker’s March 12, 2020 Order suspending Certain Provisions of the Open Meeting Law MGL C. 30A, §18 and the Governor’s March 23, 2020 Emergency Order imposing strict limitations on the number of people that may gather in one place, the November 23, 2020 Select Board meeting will be conducted via remote participation by the Board.

WESTWOOD MEDIA CENTER LIVE STREAM OF SELECT BOARD MEETING:

The meeting will be live streamed by Westwood Media Center and the public can view the meeting here. Our government channels will be broadcasting the meeting on Comcast channel 12 and Verizon channel 42.

The public is encouraged to watch our meeting via Westwood Media Center live stream and join via Zoom webinar as instructed below. The public will be allowed to make comments, if they wish to do so, during the portions of the meeting designated for public comment.

Every effort will be made to ensure that the public can adequately access the proceedings, via technological means. In the event that we are unable to do so, despite our best efforts, we will post on the town website, www.townhall.westwood.ma.us, an audio or video recording, or transcript, as soon as practicable after the meeting.

FY21 TAX CLASSIFICATION

The Westwood Select Board will hold a Public Hearing on Monday, November 23 2020 at 5:00 pm, a remote meeting through Zoom due to the COVID-19 State of Emergency and in compliance with the Governor’s March 12, 2020 Order suspending certain provisions of the Open Meeting Law MGL C. 30A, §18 and the Governor’s March 23, 2020 Emergency Order imposing strict limitations on the number of people that may gather in one place. The meeting will be filmed live by Westwood Media Center available for viewing on Comcast channel 12 and Verizon channel 42. Those wishing to participate in this Public Hearing are encouraged to use Zoom.

The purpose of this meeting will be for discussion and taxpayer feedback and a vote of the Select Board to determine the allocation of Fiscal Year 2021 taxes among the classes of real and personal property as set forth in Chapter 40, Section 56 of the General Laws. Interested taxpayers may present written information on their views at the November 23, 2020 Public Hearing.

The meeting agenda will be posted for viewing on the Town Website under Calendar event, Select Board meeting November 23, 2020. As of this posting, the November 23, 2020 Select Board meeting will be held via remote participation, subject to change.
