2016 Habitat for Humanity Women Build Chairwoman Sarah Valentini Receives Donation in Support for Local Habitat Chapter

radius financial group inc. co-founder & CEO Sarah Valentini was the recent recipient of a $25,000 donation to support her chair as the new South Shore Habitat for Humanity (SSHH) Women Build Spokesperson from a fellow women-owned and Chicago based household chemical products company.

Just one month after being elected as the 2016 SSHH Women Build Chairwoman, Valentini is already hard at work in support of the Massachusetts-based humanitarian non-profit. While attending a weekend-long Women Presidents’ Organization outing in Charlotte, N.C., Valentini received a generous donation towards the South Shore Habitat for Humanity chapter from Allison Gutterman, President of the Chicago-based company Jelmar.

“We believe in reinvesting in our communities, which is exactly what South Shore Habitat for Humanity does every day,” said Valentini, radius financial group inc.’s principal. “Jelmar’s generous donation gives us the ability to continue to aid and assist with improving the living standards for hundreds of people within our local South Shore community.”

Jelmar President, Allison Gutterman met up with Valentini during the Charlotte, N.C. weekend outing. After hearing about Valentini’s involvement with Women Build and South Shore Habitat for Humanity, Gutterman was compelled to help make an impact in support of Valentini’s new chair as the local spokesperson.

“In speaking with Sarah and learning about her recent election as spokesperson for Women Build, along with her involvement with her local Habitat for Humanity chapter, I’m honored to have the opportunity to contribute to a fellow minority business owner’s philanthropic endeavors,” said Gutterman.

In light of the organization’s 30th anniversary, Valentini was named the 2016 Women Build Chairwoman in June 2015, succeeding HGTV star and Weymouth native Taniya Nayak. Immediately following her election to chair, radius financial group inc. announced their new partnership with South Shore Habitat for Humanity.

The partnership includes sponsorship of a new Habitat for Humanity build in Duxbury, which will commence in early August. In addition to the Duxbury build, radius financial group inc. employees will take part in Habitat for Humanity events; Road Race, Golf Tournament, “High Heels and Hard Hat’s” Gala and deliver coffee as the official coffee break sponsor to the new Duxbury, MA build site.
