Commit to Get Fit - Weymouth Club's 90-Day Lifestyle Program Starts March 9th

The Weymouth Club is a family-friendly fitness, wellness and recreation facility catering to residents across the South Shore.

An average weight loss of 18 pounds. Lower blood pressure and cholesterol. More energy and better sleep. These are just some of the results experienced by participants in the HealthyCare 90-Day Commit to Get Fit Program at the Weymouth Club.

The Weymouth Club, a family-friendly fitness, wellness and recreation facility catering to residents across the South Shore, has announced the next session of HealthyCare 90-Day Commit to Get Fit Program of nutrition and fitness will begin on March 9, 2017. The program is open to both members and non-members.

The HealthyCare 90-Day Commit to Get Fit Program is different from any other program, as it is not a diet or a strict workout plan. It is a 13-week lifestyle program for healthy, reasonable weight-loss, improved flexibility, strength and cardiovascular fitness.

The program starts with a comprehensive health and fitness assessment that includes blood pressure and body fat evaluation, as well as blood work to test blood sugar and cholesterol. For 13 weeks, participants meet in a group for two hours. In the first hour, a registered dietician provides nutrition education and reviews behavior modification and stress management tactics. During the second hour, a certified personal trainer covers fitness education and exercise.

"Our 90-Day Commit to Get Fit Program has been extremely successful," said Weymouth Club's Program Director, Michele Fay, who is a Certified Personal Trainer and Wellness Coach. "Many of our participants - members and non-members alike - continue to work out after the 90-day program, participating in group exercise classes, tennis or swim lessons. They've gained a new perspective along with the knowledge and confidence to manage their nutrition and fitness going forward."

On average, previous 90-Day Commit to Get Fit Program participants experienced an 18-pound weight loss, three-inch reduction in waistline, and five percent body fat loss. Additionally, participants' blood pressure was lowered by 11 points, cholesterol lowered by 24 points and blood sugar lowered by four points. All reported more energy and better nights' sleep.

"After completing 90-Day Commit to Get Fit, I feel more equipped to maintain good health and keep fit. I finally gained the knowledge tools to eat right and stay healthy. If you want to be healthy, get fit and change your life for a long life adventure, this is it. I recommend this program to everyone I come in contact with," according to Brian Gotta, a recent participant who lost 40 pounds.
