Dr. Barbara Green to Speak at Local Women's Conference
The Youth Health Connection founder will take part in a panel discussion about embracing change and thriving through transition
South Shore Health’s Barbara Green, PhD, will be a featured expert in this year’s South Shore Conference for Women. The virtual event, to be held on Thursday, October 22 from 8:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m., aims to inspire women, offers an accessible platform to world-class speakers and timely panel discussions, and helps connect women with hundreds of peers, close to home.
“I am thrilled to be a part of this uplifting and empowering event that brings together women with a shared objective to connect and inspire one another,” said Dr. Green.
The theme for this year’s conference is “Vision 2020: Building a Stronger Community of Women, Together.” The virtual event will offer five panels featuring 15 panelists who will present on topics ranging from finance to self-worth, entrepreneurship to health.

Dr. Green will take part in a panel discussion entitled, “Embracing Change: Keys to Thriving Through Transition.” Other members of the panel include Attorney Lee Darst, from the Law Offices of Lee Darst; and Leanne Rodd, Director of Talent at Flex Professionals.
“This year has proven to be extremely challenging for so many of us,” said Dr. Green. “The goal of this panel discussion is to share key steps and strategies to help people navigate through these difficult times while achieving overall wellness, legal and career goals.”

This is the second year that South Shore Health will be the lead sponsor for the South Shore Conference for Women. Highlights of the event include two keynote speakers:
- Pam Garramone, M.Ed, an award winning speaker who presents positive psychology to students, educators and corporate and community employees.
- Dolores Hirschman, an internationally recognized strategist, entrepreneur and coach.
The event’s Master of Ceremonies is Jennifer Kauffman, a transformational speaker and teacher, an award-winning coach who helps clients achieve breakthrough results in their businesses and lives.
