Driver in Fatal Weymouth Crash Issued Citation for Motor Vehicle Homicide
The crash killed a 15-year-old teen from Weymouth.

WEYMOUTH, MA - The driver in a crash that killed a 15-year-old teen from Weymouth Saturday has been issued a citation.
The 16-year-old, who is not being identified due to his age, was issued a citation for motor vehicle homicide by negligent operation, junior operator violation (no one under 18 during first six months), failure to keep right and speeding, according to WHDH.
Investigators will request a clerk magistrates hearing at Quincy District Court.

At about 11 p.m. Saturday night, police received several 911 calls for a car crash in the area of 583 Union St. According to police, a vehicle traveled south on the road before striking a telephone pole, parked motor vehicles, and a tree.
Two passengers were ejected from the vehicle and all four occupants were transported to South Shore Hospital. One passenger, Kate McCarthy, 15, of Weymouth, was pronounced dead after the crash.

All four occupants were identified as students at Archbishop Williams High School in Braintree.
