One Week of FREE classes at Center for Physical Wellness
Throughout the month of March, new participants get a complimentary week of classes (max of three times per week)

South Shore Health’s Center for Physical Wellness invites the community to take advantage of FREE classes throughout the month of March!
Beginning March 1, 2020, any new participant will get a complimentary week of classes (max of three times per week) and be able to enjoy the vast array of exercise programs and equipment in the new 780 Main Street, Weymouth facility. Take advantage of this one-month only special!
The Center for Physical Wellness offers a wide-range of exercise classes developed to help you build strength, flexibility and endurance in a fun, relaxed atmosphere. Whether it’s recovering from an injury, managing a chronic illness, bouncing back from childbirth, or trying to become more fit – there’s a class for everyone!

The new 780 Main Street location is equipped with treadmills, stationary bikes, free weights and other exercise equipment needed to help you achieve overall optimal health and fitness. We also offer training for individuals or small groups with coaching from one of our clinical exercise therapists.
Did you know that South Shore Hospital has TWO POOLS and offers aquatic-based classes? South Shore Hospital’s therapeutic pools, located at our Outpatient Rehabilitation Department, 55 Fogg Road in Weymouth, are designed to meet your unique health needs. We offer several pool-based classes for expectant mothers, as well as parents and new baby. Individuals with chronic conditions including Parkinson’s Disease and arthritis, as well as those looking for a general conditioning program can benefit from a pool-based class.

Core and More
This program is designed for individuals who would like the attention of a personal training visit in a group setting to strengthen muscles and improve endurance.
Mondays and Wednesdays, 4:00-5:00 p.m. or 5:00-5:45 p.m. $55 for 45 min, $60 for 1 hour
Fit for You
Program for individuals who would like to improve their activity level, body composition, and cardiovascular endurance with the guidance of an exercise therapist.
Mondays and Wednesdays, 3pm- 4pm.; $60
Functional Fitness Post-Stroke
Program for individuals who have had a stroke and want to improve function, balance, and strength.
Tuesdays, 12:30-1:30 p.m.; $55
Senior Strength Training
Exercise program for anyone over 55, this moderate resistance training and aerobic program focuses on improving strength, flexibility, and balance.
Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays 9:00-10:00 a.m. $60 for twice per week, $65 for three times per week
Women’s Stretch and Strengthen Program
Designed for women to increase/maintain bone density and improve strength and posture.
Exercises include resistance training, light aerobics, and core/postural strengthening.
Mondays, 12:00 p.m.-1:00 p.m and Fridays, 11 a.m.-12:00 p.m.;$60
Mindfulness and Movement
This class focuses on combining meditation and movement. Work on your flexibility and mobility through dynamic movements and guided meditation. All fitness levels are welcome.

This deep pool program focuses on core stability and muscular strength and endurance. Held in the 82 degree pool.
Mondays 12:00-12:45pm; $30
Flexibility in Motion Program
This pool- based program helps improve flexibility, strength, and balance. Beneficial for patients with neurological, arthritis, and balance issues.
Fridays 2-2:45pm; $30
Movement and Balance Aquatic Program
This pool program is designed to improve balance and function for individuals with Parkinson’s Disease and other balance related issues.
Thursdays 1:00-2:00pm pool; $30
Prenatal Aquatic Exercise
Open to women at any stage of pregnancy, our pool-based exercise program helps improve
strength, minimize weight gain, and maintain flexibility.
Tuesdays, Thursdays, 6- 6:45p.m. or Saturdays 10:30-11am or 11:30-12:15pm $30 once per week, $55 twice per week
Senior Aquatic Conditioning
Program for individuals over 55 with a chronic medical condition. Program assists in
improving and maintaining flexibility, cardiovascular health, and muscle strength.
Tuesdays and Thursdays, 3:00-4:00 p.m. or Mondays and Wednesdays 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.; $60
Water Tots
Open to any adult/child pairings (4 months to one year of age), this pool-based program focuses on gross motor development for the child and enhances bonding.
