First-Time Marathoner Running for Burlington Burn Victim

I am running my first marathon for Boston on the Race for Rehab team. I am running for Dakota Willette and have committed to raise awareness

Hello, my name is Emily Wagner. I am reaching out to you because I just recently got accepted onto the Spaulding Rehab Boston marathon team to run for a dear friend who is a patient there. I am very excited to run in my first marathon.

My friend, Dakota Willette 23 years old of Burlington, was in a terrible car accident in the beginning of December leaving her body 31% severely burnt. She has had to leave her 4 year old son in the care of other family members while she continues to recover.

I am thrilled to be given this opportunity to run for her on the Race for Rehab team. With my acceptance onto the team, I have committed to raising funds and awareness. I would truly appreciate any support as it will help me to reach my goal which helps many people with disabilities, injuries and illness to receive the services that Spaulding provides. All funds go directly to Spaulding.

Thank you for your consideration. The support by so many great people like you help me through my longest training runs.
