• Building on success: Woburn's Lombardo takes over as Wilmington High girls soccer coach (homenewshere.com) — Wilmington High's girls soccer team has a new head coach, Woburn native Jason Lombardo, who's inheriting a strong Wildcats squad coming off an 11-3-4 season. He plans to introduce a more possession-focused style, emphasize player development and team culture, and aims to position Wilmington for deeper postseason runs and a future state title push.

• DEADLINE: Purchase Your Tickets For 'Farm To Fork Celebration' To Benefit Wilmington Farmers Market By Monday, August 24 At 10PM (wilmingtonapple.com) — Wilmington residents have one last day—until 10 p.m. Monday—to buy tickets for the new Farm to Fork Celebration supporting the Wilmington Farmers Market. The August 29 fundraiser at the Wilmington Senior Center features chef-prepared local food, drinks from Massachusetts producers, and more than 20 raffle prizes from area businesses, with proceeds helping sustain and expand the town's summer market and food assistance programs.
