Cadet Orientation Flights

Cadets from Hanscom Composite Squadron

get a once in a lifetime opportunity to see some amazing views on a Cadet Orientation Flight.

Pictured above is a unique shot of Fenway Park that even some of the most experienced pilots don’t even get to see!

As a Civil Air Patrol Cadet between the ages of 13 and 18, part of your training and professional growth will include time in the cockpit, behind the controls of one of the Massachusetts Wing’s Cessna Airplanes that are used for real time search and rescue missions.

An Orientation flight will give you an introduction to aircraft, the air traffic control system and a better understanding of how to coordinate air to ground missions from the aircrews’ perspective.

Aside from all of that, it’s just plane fun!
