Summer 2026: Mosaic Makers Workshop (ages 8-12)

This week, we’re diving into the colorful and creative world of mosaics. Young artists will learn how mosaics are traditionally assembled using small tiles made from materials like glass, stone, and ceramics—often square in shape, but sometimes round or irregular for added visual interest. Inspired by these techniques, kids will design and create their own unique mosaic artworks using pieces of broken pottery, china, glass, buttons, figurines, and even jewelry! By arranging and cementing these fun found objects onto a sturdy base, artists will transform scraps into colorful, textured masterpieces—boosting creativity, problem-solving, and artistic confidence along the way.
