Day was first elected to the seat in 2014, and this will be his first campaign for re-election. He regarded the preservation of the Stoneham Zoo, increasing chapter 70 and local aid funding and progress made towards the substance abuse issues facing the area as some of the high-points in his first term in the seat.
Day will formally launch his re-election campaign with friends and supporters at a public reception on May 24 at Lucia's Restaurant in Winchester.
