As Deadline Passes, There Will Be Two New Faces On Select Board

Three candidates are in the running for two open seats on board.

There will be two new faces on the Winchester Select Board following the passing of Tuesday's deadline for candidates to submit nomination papers.

Current members Lance Grenzeback and David Errico will not be running for re-election according to information supplied by Town Clerk MaryEllen Lannon. That means Grenzeback and Errico's last act will be guiding the town through its first override vote since 2008.

There will be three candidates running for their two seats in the March 26 election: Susan Verdicchio, Vince Dixon, and Amy Shapiro.

Diab Jerius is running for a three-year seat on the Planning Bosard and Heather Sauceda Hannon is running for a one-year term.

Two seats on the School Committee are open and incumbent Chris Nixon along with Karen Maruyama Bolognese are running. There are two Trustee of the Public Library seats open and MaryAnn O’Callaghan and Wendy Karle are running.
