NFIB Massachusetts PAC Endorses Stephen Ternullo for State Representative

STONEHAM, MA — Stephen G. Ternullo, Republican candidate for State Representative in the 31st Middlesex District representing Stoneham and Winchester, announced today that he has received the endorsement of the National Federation of Independent Business Massachusetts PAC (NFIB MA PAC).

NFIB is the nation’s leading small-business advocacy association, representing small and independent businesses and advocating on issues affecting their ability to own, operate, and grow their businesses.

“I’m honored to receive the endorsement of the NFIB Massachusetts PAC,” said Ternullo. “For more than 38 years, I’ve worked in the building trades. I know what it means to work hard, earn a paycheck, support a family, and see firsthand how rising taxes, energy bills, and everyday costs affect the people who live and work in our communities.”

In its endorsement letter, NFIB MA PAC thanked Ternullo for his responses to its issue survey and for demonstrating his “support and understanding of the needs of thousands of Main Street small businesses and the millions of workers at small businesses in Massachusetts.”

Ternullo said the endorsement reinforces one of the central themes of his campaign: making Massachusetts more affordable for working families and creating an environment where local businesses can succeed.

“Small businesses are a critical part of Stoneham and Winchester,” Ternullo said. “They create jobs, support our neighborhoods, sponsor our youth programs, and help make our communities what they are. But rising taxes, energy bills, and the cost of doing business are putting tremendous pressure on businesses and working families — and state mandates and policies are contributing to those rising costs. Beacon Hill should be working to make Massachusetts more affordable, not making it more expensive to live, work, and do business here.”

Ternullo has made affordability, government accountability, energy costs, increased local aid, and greater transparency on Beacon Hill central issues in his campaign.

“Whether you own a small business, work for one, work in the trades, or are trying to raise a family or retire here, the cost of living in Massachusetts matters,” Ternullo said. “We need to take a hard look at state mandates that drive up costs and ask a simple question: What is this costing the people we represent?”

Ternullo added, “I’m running to make sure the taxpayers, workers, seniors, families, and small businesses of Stoneham and Winchester have a strong voice on Beacon Hill. We need greater accountability for how taxpayer dollars are spent and policies that make Massachusetts more affordable for the people who call it home.”

Ternullo is challenging incumbent State Representative Michael Day in the November 3 general election.
