Olivia's Organics Namesake to be Honored
Olivia's Organics Olivia DeMichaelis to Offer Remarks on Family's Commitment to Supporting Causes and People in the Communities
Olivia’s Organics, a leading supplier of organic tender leaf greens, spinach and celery hearts, is pleased to share that 15-year-old Olivia DeMichaelis, will be recognized for her and her family’s community impact at The Greater Boston Food Bank Women Fighting Hunger Annual Breakfast. The event will be held at the Seaport Hotel Boston from 7:15-9 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 14, 2018. Olivia is the daughter of Mark DeMichaelis, CEO and president of Olivia’s Organics. Olivia and the entire DeMichaelis family have supported The Greater Boston Food Bank by volunteering, donating produce and providing financial support through the Olivia’s Organics Children’s Foundation.
“I’ve been volunteering and working with The Greater Boston Food Bank for as long as I can remember,” said Olivia DeMichaelis. “You could say giving back and paying forward support is my family’s and our company’s DNA. My whole family has always stressed the importance of lending a helping hand and making sure everyone has enough to eat. I’m so honored to be recognized and view this as a tribute to my parents and grandparents who have taught me about giving back and created a company based around these guiding principles.”

In addition to The Greater Boston Food Bank, the Foundation supports the Food Bank for New York City, Autism Speaks and the Kids Clothes Club.
Olivia’s Organics has also recently embarked on another way to give back and say thanks in local communities. This summer, Olivia’s began an in initiative known as its Random Acts of Freshness tour. To date, Olivia’s employees, Olivia and her brothers Mark and John have visited more than 70 police and fire stations around the Greater Boston area. With each visit, the Olivia’s team offers a healthy and tasty lunch and thanks personal responders for keeping their communities safe. Olivia’s plans to expand the tour to include teachers, veterans’ affairs groups, health and human services organizations and other non-profits in the coming months.
