Stephen G. Ternullo Picks Up Nomination Papers

Stoneham, MA — February 10th 2026 — Stephen G. Ternullo today officially picked up his nomination papers to run for State Representative in the 31st Middlesex District, representing the communities of Stoneham and Winchester.

Ternullo announced his candidacy citing rising costs, a lack of accountability on Beacon Hill, and the need for new leadership focused on taxpayers and local communities.

“Families in Stoneham and Winchester work hard and pay their fair share, but Beacon Hill doesn’t always do the same,” said Ternullo. “After 11 years in office, our current representative has become part of the Beacon Hill insider culture, consistently voting with party leadership while taxes, utility bills, and the overall cost of living continue to rise.”

Ternullo emphasized that Massachusetts is becoming increasingly unaffordable for families, seniors, and young people trying to build a future in the Commonwealth.

“As costs go up, accountability goes down,” Ternullo said. “Career politicians keep promising change, but they keep delivering the same results. I’m not part of the Beacon Hill establishment, and I won’t be.”

According to Ternullo, his campaign will focus on standing up for taxpayers, demanding transparency in government, and putting the needs of Stoneham and Winchester residents first.

“Picking up nomination papers is the first official step,” he said. “Winning this race will take a strong grassroots effort. If voters want different results, it’s time for new leadership and real accountability on Beacon Hill.”
