Winning Farm Development Proposal: Public Information Session Announced
A developer is interested in developing 26 townhouse units on the Winning Farm property.

WINCHESTER, MA—A developer is interested in building 26 townhouse units on the Winning Farm property, but the development will have to be approved by Town Hall.
The town announced Monday that a public information session would be held on March 30 to hear a preliminary proposal for the development of Winning Farm. Ron Bonvie, the president of Helios Construction, is interested in building units that would be restricted to adults age 55 and over.
The development requires neighborhood review and town meeting approval of a new development agreement. Town meeting approval is also necessary to rezone the property .

According to a report by Wicked Local Winchester, Bonvie proposed building one and two story homes with two-car garages, master bedrooms on the first floor and full basements at a March 7 Selectman's meeting.
According to Wicked Local's report, Bonvie estimates that the development would generate an "initial $435,000 in permit fees and tax revenue during the construction phase, a $1 million linkage payment to cover additional capital improvements the town may need to make to handle the development’s impact and $325,000 in annual taxes."

The public information session will be held at the Vinson-Owen school on March 30 at 7 p.m. The public is invited to attend.
