The Woburn Hanson Electric C Team suffered a devastating loss to the Wakefield Warriors, 6-19. The game took place on Sunday at Woburn Memorial High School.
Wakefield scored early in the first quarter with a 4th and 1 pass completion in the endzone. Woburn then answered with a touchdown of their own, thanks to great blocking by Nicholas Newman, James Taft, Derek Fox, Jonathan Avery, Nicholas Coviello, Ty Price, Terrell Jones, David Langlois, and Ryan Ludwig, which allowed Issac Gouveia to take the handoff from quarterback Logan Wilson and score from midfield. Despite the loud encouragement from the C Team cheerleaders, this would be the only score for the Trojans, who were unable to put more points on the board the remainder of the game.
Others deserving credit for their great play include John Kyle, Tyrese Jones, John Lafferty, Malique Hoang-Cabral, John Zakrewski, Jack Aylward, George Paez, Jared Riordan, Kyle Almeida, Alec Cruz, Jayson Blouin, Ryan Dever, Douglas Lynch, Michael Mercer, and Jared Zolubos.
