Big Boy Room Makeover—Taking The Crib Down... (Sniff Sniff)

Hi Woburn friends!

My latest blog post details the makeover I did for my little boy (Superhero theme). He's finally in a "big boy" bed. His room is tinier than tiny so this makeover presented a lot of practical challenges. I shared all those challenges over at my blog but I didn't talk about the emotional challenges.

The crib had been part of our home landscape for six years, as my daughter was in it before him. Taking the crib down for what will likely be the last time was bittersweet for me. No crib in the house can only mean there are no babies in my house. Typing that sentence even bums me out.

I realized that moving my youngest to a big boy bed is not only a big step for him, but it's a big step for me too. We are all heading into a new phase. He is handling the transition so well, the question is, am I?
