Kennedy Middle School Students Need Your Help
Anti-Bullying Campaign at Kennedy Middle School

I was recently informed of an Anti-Bullying campaign that is trying to get started at the Quinton Cox, along with his friend Cameron Pacheco, have called on the help of Vice Principal Kevin Battle to get this campaign under way. The truly amazing thing is that these boys are only in the 8th grade.
As many of you know, bullying has been brought to the forefront in recent years. Many children have felt like they have nowhere to turn and nothing they can do about this relentless torment that makes their lives miserable. Unfortunately, parents and school officials don’t usually find out until it is too late.
Quinton and Cameron have taken it upon themselves to take this issue head on in their middle school. They have come up with a plan and are trying to put it to action. They are asking Kennedy Middle School students to decorate pink T-shirts and wear them on a specific day. This act will be a show against bullying.

Their only problem is finding about 600 t-shirts to distribute to the students!
They have done some of their own fundraising but have not been able to come up with enough for all the shirts needed. They have reached out to local T-Shirt companies and have had a little success. Impress Graphics (911 Main St. Woburn, MA www.impressgraphics.com) have agreed to donate some of the shirts. However, 600 is a tall order for any company to fill so Quinton and Cameron still need more shirts.

I would like to call on Woburn as a community to help these kids out. The innovation, courage, and maturity these kids have shown is something to be commended. I would hate to see them come this far and not be able to see it through due to lack of shirts.
I am reminded of a favorite quote of mine “Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the judgment that something else is more important than fear.” ~Ambrose Redmoon.
These kids were not afraid to shed light on this issue and remind people that this exists everywhere so let's address it here in Woburn.
Please donate to the cause if you can. If you happen to be a part of a T-Shirt
company then please donate what you can. If you are just a person inspired by
the cause then please feel free to donate. You can contact Vice Principal Kevin Battle at the Kennedy Middle School at 781-937-8230.
